The Fleet Status site is:
https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/
At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.
To determine which plane your flight will be on go to https://www.cablepick.net/united#
Just enter your flight number, date, origin and destination. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.
Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.
You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

Very nice analysis, thanks.
My one comment is that the fuel burn issue could be considerably more significant if we see prices back over $100 gallon. Particularly since that will directly impact the income statement and thus reported earnings.
So future management may be somewhat less than grateful for this move if/when fuel expenses start to affect the bottom line again.

If UA does in fact cancel the A350s and replace them with 77Ws, I would not be too surprised. Makes little sense to operate both the A350 and the 777.
Maybe UA orders some A321LRneo's to replace the 752s to give Airbus something? Boeing is talking to customers about a MAX 10, but I'm not sure if UA wants to wait on Boeing's decision. The oldest 752s will be 30 in 2019.

I know you meant per barrel in your post, but can you imagine if it was per gallon? Airlines would be the least of our problems, as our entire economy would be at risk.

The note on N105UA "sked to exit fleet 9/17 - SFO 9/8/16" should be on N107UA. The latter is the plane parked in SFO since 8 September.
