Global Services Qualifications 2016

I haven't seen this started yet. Although I have a few flights left, no 016 of UA metal so I will finish the year at 140k PQM and 43k PQD. Just slightly behind last year so I am guessing I will re-qualify unless the standards are raised out of IAH.

Anyone hear this early?

I have not heard. I hope you are right. I fly from Hartford, Ct to IAH every week. Will have $48,000 PQD, 180,000 PQM and 125 segments.

I know I requalified, because I bought PassPlus
But I guess I would have anyway with >100k spent on F/A/C/D fares.

I was just going to start a thread on this.

Not sure if I will re-qualify as my overall miles on UA are down this year, but I think my other stats are good. After last couple of flights, I will end up:

- Total PQM: 136,254
- Total PQD: $56,108
- UA-only PQM: 99,158
- UA-Only PQD: $44,828
- UA-Only BIS: 64,304
- $0.412 CPM on total PQM
- $0.452 CPM on UA PQM
- $0.697 CPM on UA BIS

Any thoughts on my chances? I am based out of EWR.

What has more stringent requirements: qualifying for the first time or re-qualifying?

No one really knows fo sure - but it's general consensus is that it's harder the first time.....

At least 2-3 weeks until first notifications typically go out (Dec 12th last year if I recall). Why bother starting thread?

BIS

So, I have never been GS before so am curious on how this works. Seems like GS qualification is driven by not just high spend (total $$) but high CPM. And I have learnt from other forums that CPM is effectively pre-tax fare/BIS miles.

A few questions: how do you calculate BIS miles? Is this something United shows on their website under MileagePlus activity? I don't have many miles (relative to others) but I almost always fly Business or First and have only flown United metal this year.

84,110 PQM
$41,456 PQD

I have two more flights to go this year so may end at around $45K PQD for the year.

Any guidance from you experts is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I keep a spreadsheet. You can just go through your flights and add em up--BIS = PQM/1.5 for premium fares, BIS=PQM for others. Spreadsheet gives me a running total (entered after each itinerary complete), plus calculates cpm.

Current ORD based 1K, trying to re-qualify for GS, my stats (all UA metal) are as follows:
PQD: $60,092, PQM: 204K, BIS:157K, PQS: 147.5.

What do you guys think are my chances?

I didn't qualify last year. Only made it to 1K. I was GS 4 years ago. Have been 1K ever since
