60 day grace for Annual Fee Milage Plus Explorer refund?
Can anyone confirm from (recent) experience that there is a 60 day grace period in which a card cancellation will auto-refund the Annual fee? I expect the rep to try to dissuade me with loss of ppoints etc.
I have one final large purchase that will post on the account on the next statement. I'd like not to lose those points by cancelling before the account statements. I've otherwise discontinued use.
Thanks

I believe it says on the T&C on the back of each statement, and I think you're right. I believe it's something like "by the date payment is due in the billing cycle in which it's billed" and they bill the fee at the beginning of the cycle. That means ~30 days to billing statement and another 30 to payment due.
