What's the current load (based on expert mode)?
How full is E+?
What status are you, what fare class are you on, and how are you supporting the upgrade?

The issue with trying to check historical load factors for UA premium cabins is that I would say that by the time the doors close on 99% of the flights, the seats upfront will be filled with revenue passengers and non-revs.

I am a 1K booked into Q fare using a GPU. I am relying on CPUs for other flight segments.

I'd be comfortable with a Q fare as a 1K on that route. Not many people are outranking you for status. And it doesn't seem as if it's very popular in direct J bookings.

IIRC, the DOT 10% sample will give you passenger counts by airline by departure/arrival by "aggregated fare class". You won't know date, day of week, or flight. You also have to match up against historical flight schedules to know seats, but if you did so you could calculate average load factor for the carrier.
I don't recall looking much at the fare class breakdowns back when I was working with this data. We did work heavily in the O&D/market data and the departure/arrival/carrier passenger counts out of the coupon data.
I also don't know how carriers report upgrades or buyups when reporting this data to the DOT.

Sorry for the ambiguity in my post about the coupon data. I meant to say both were available.
