Did your wife pay any PlusPoints for the upgrade portion? I thought there wasn't any CPU on international flights

CPU legs got cleared.

Each segment stands on its own. SFO-IAD-LHR with SFO-IAD clearing is still CPU if no PP submitted on the SFO-IAD segment.

PPs are requested for Polaris flights only. They are still waitlisted.
My high CPU rate is mainly due to instant upgrades, especially the short routes.

Polaris flights is a better qualifier than international.

Cleared MCO-LAX early last week at T-23.

I just looked through my flight history this year and I was CPU'd on 7/17 (41%) flights. One of those was on a 787 IAD-LAX. Sweet ride. My gf was my upgraded companion on that flight. Always nice to share the perks.

Anyway, does any other Silver have as high an UG% ? I feel like that's gotta be abnormally high.

Here is a strange upgrade as Platinum. I got upgraded on a regular saver award ticket on YYZ to IAH recently and not a United Card holder, although I do have Chase Preferred which I use for travel. I also leapfrogged another passenger on the list. Also the same on IAH to YYZ (saver award) but on that flight the first class was nearly empty so may be UA gave the upgrade.
