The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:

mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=1647&fli ghtDate=11%2F30%2F2015&origin=EWR&destination=SFO

https://mobile.united.com/FlightStat...estination=SFO

Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination as necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

All 767s will be in 2-cabin configuration. The 3-cabin 777s with 24xx tail numbers will be converted to 2-cabin. All remaining 3-cabin 777s will remain as is. As for timeline the first 67I to be converted to 76C is currently under going the conversion should be exiting soon. Final product will be sometime next year and into 2017.

I feel like they aren't...every CR7 for sure (can't recall for E75) seems to indicate no wifi on the flight, and that wifi/PDE coming soon - the ones that have it active and the ones that don't. Will definitely updating if I fly others that have it installed and it's not noted already.

Only the E170s flown by Republic have the wifi/pde info updated in the system. The Shuttle America E170s, all E175s, and all CR7s do not have the information. So please any that are noticed make a post!

Is Global First eventually going to disappear entirely? With the 763's and more 772's losing it and 788/789/773 never receiving it, that just leaves the 744s and some pmUA 772s. Seems logical as it doesn't stand up to foreign competition.

Jeff didn't believe in or support it, so it's gone.

Turns out your guesses were wrong. According to a UA mechanic:

So it isn't a maintenance check or a spare airframe issue. UA doesn't have enough PW engines, so these two perfectly serviceable airframes are sitting so that UA can get caught up on their engine overhauls.

Must be more of Jeff's vaunted "project quality."

N221UA in SFO since 11/28?

FlightAware shows the last activity for N221UA as HND-SFO on Nov 28.

Curious as to why.

I see due to my prodding that it just left SFO for HND.

I search the thread for N221UA and saw no mention of maintenance for this plane since earlier this year.

Is there a source for finding out the status of a plane?

Maybe that's the bird I was in HKG just after noon today.

As well as 763 and a couple of 737s, one with winglets, the other with split scimtars. Also a couple of 748s, but those were Cathay freighters (didn't realize Cathay purchased them). What a magnificent plane, too bad history has passed it by

Too far away to see numbers from Upper Deck ( ), but took photos and will see if blowing up photos will let me read them or if they are too grainy for that (did not travel with my long zoom lens this time )
