The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:

mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=1647&fli ghtDate=11%2F30%2F2015&origin=EWR&destination=SFO

https://mobile.united.com/FlightStat...estination=SFO

Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination as necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

8405 was the same frame for me too when I crossed the MM mark on SFO-HKG in 2011.

N465SW and N466SW belong to the AA fleet, they are not listed as UAX craft. All of the others you listed are Skywest fleet, and they switch parent carrier pretty often as needed.

Thanks gree for the UAX wifi updates, that information isn't easy to come across ^

FYI the new E75s appear to be flying for Republic (not Shuttle America as originally suspected). Deliveries in 2015 will be N721YX, followed by 722, 723, 724, 725, 726, 727, 728, 729, 730, 731, 732, 733, 736, 739. 2016 deliveries follow beginning with N740YX.
**N722YX also enters service w Republic on Aug 1.

738:
N76269 sked to exit INT 2148/3Aug with WiFi/scimitars/slimline seats. Aircraft will receive PED soon, no DTV (same as N33264). These 2 aircraft will be in same configuration as 8 GUM 738s returning to domestic configuration.

Thanks Bunky, I had been wondering what was up with 3264. At least now we know!

Don't think that's quite correct. All 122 mainland based 738s (not counting the ones returning from GUM) will have DirecTV. This is including the 18 mid-cabin lav 738s those got DirecTV as well.

Jose, can you check those two 738s? The amenities listed recently changed to show no DTV and soon to get streaming PDE. Recently as in after exit from the mid-lav removal (and other mods are all correctly updated i.e. Power, seat map, wifi, etc) Just for those two units. Surely seems odd.

Is UA counting the 738 and 73Gs going to GUM with seatback screens as DTV units so that returning form GUM units and last 2 midlavs can be non-DTV units?
I know there is a contract with DTV for the NG fleet that stopped with 739 #3464 and all 738s/73Gs except GUM units.

Prior to GUM and mid lav conversions,
738 - 104 DTV - 8 GUM with overhead content - 18 midlav with overhead content = 130
73G - 32 DTV - 4 GUM with overhead content = 36
739 - 64 DTV
Total 200 DTV

Looks to me like this will be final configurations
738 - 113 DTV - 7 GUM with seatback content - 10 PED (2 midlavs/8 former GUM) =130
73G - 28 DTV* - 5 GUM with seatback content - 7 PED (4 Ex-CM/3 former GUM) = 40
739 - 64 DTV
Total 205 DTV

* Unclear what is going on with #3736, which is to stay in GUM (has overhead content now)

All 18 mid-cabin lav 738s were scheduled to get DirecTV when they got reconfigured to the standard configuration don't think that has changed. The 738s and 73Gs that are being sent to GUM are keeping the seatback screens but the DirecTV and WiFi would be deactivated. So 264 & 269 should have DirecTV. Don't believe what United.com says as the amenities are often wrong.
