No question in my mind: Cseries.

A few months ago, I was able to walk through one of the C-Series test planes up in Bombardier's Mirabel facility, and was very impressed!

Neither. I bet these large RJs will be replacing mainline on routes like ORD-DCA, SFO-LAX, DEN-SEA.

I'd personally love to see the C-series, but even if it does end up being the E-190, I don't think too many of us will complain (although as has been already noted, current E-190 operators don't seem terribly pleased with it).

On routes like those I'll gladly take a 2X2 in Y E190 operated as mainline over a Airbus or 737 anyday.

I'll definitely take a mainline E190 or C-series over the CR7s that have infiltrated ORD-DCA.

Few people commented earlier in the thread, that if the Cseries is selected, it will be flown mainline, by mainline pilots. If thats the case, I would say its another reason to pick the Cseries.

Either the C-Series or E190 would be operated by mainline. Anything greater than 76-sets has to be operated by mainline per scope clauses in the pilot contract.

Adding these mainline jets will also allow UA to add additional regional jet flying of the 76 seat type, which in theory helps get rid of the 50-seaters.

Thanks for clarifying. But couldnt UA theoretically fit the CS100 as 76 seat and put it into UA express fleet?

I left United because of significant changes to the frequent flyer program and significant use of regional jets.

Cite?

I know that B6 had issues with them early in the delivery cycle but they have been much more reliable of late.

Also, keep in mind that the C-Series is not yet actually certified to fly and it has had plenty of problems throughout the test process over the past few years.

JetBlue has differed deliveries until 2020 and has stated in 2013 that they are still having maintenance issues.

US and AC are unhappy and they are getting rid of them. Even Express carriers have been displeased with the E-170's.

The E-190's will be a mistake like the 767-200 and 737-500 orders. I expect UA to choose the cheaper E-190's. The C series will be able to expand and be a very usefull airfcraft. The E-190 is just a stretch.
