United now blocking Brussels (SN) Award space?
I see SN space JFK-BRU-JFK I'm looking to book...yet a UA agent says she can't see it. Wondering if it's because it no longer displays on UAL.com. Anyone else come across this issue before? And have any tips how to communicate it?
EDIT: I mentioned to the agent that she should look at doing a "long sell"...she went to talk w/a supe and came back shocked..."I got it!"
As long as you have other tools to search SN space, it's a nice hidden award gem now that it apparently can't even be seen by agents, let alone booked on the web site

Maybe we need a thread tracking carriers that don't currently list all inventory on the UA Web site but are bookable for awards. I think it includes SQ, LO, SN. Might also include 9W?

Where did you see the inventory? In general, just because it's available in one place doesn't means it's available to partners.

I bet the agent just wasn't looking in the right place. I have had no problem booking SN space over the phone and it certainly is the go-to space (along with LOT and COPA) since .bomb does not display it.
If it is on ANA, you can book it.
Here is where there is a problem with SN space (that I have not seen with other Star carriers) - married segments.
For example, JFK-BRU-VCE may have two seats in I, but JFK-BRU has zero in I. If that is the case, forget about the award...UA cannot book it (or at least I have been unable to get UA to book it).

Actually, all KVS does is screen scrape from airline websites such as ANA. You can get the data for free directly or via other services that have a free version such as AwardNexus.com
