It's the same grey cases they've had for YEARS (and years). Those tins were cute but completely useless. How many did they order? Will they ever run out?

This looks like the shower kit handed out in the arrival lounges and in some overseas clubs. I don't think this was ever distributed on flights.

Yes, that's right, although I did get them once SFO-PVG in GF. Purser handed them out telling us they were a surprise leftover from when the plane had arrived that day from NRT. There were more than a few of us nostalgic for the old days.

even though the contents in the current F amenity kit are meh, I still find it very practical (the kits itself and its contents). I just love how it folds out and can be hanged to easily access your toiletries or what not. I actually take this kit with me anytime i travel. I'll replace it as soon as get a better kit from another airline

I really hate UA's gray cases. Obviously Japan Airline's kit is the gold standard. A number of other airlines have improved in this area as well. For example, I was recently on a Turkish airline business class flight, and got a Porsche hard case. I find that very useful to store my various charger.

We've made great use of the PMUA string-top bags that predate the murad kit
they fold into nothing, zero weight, hold a variety, etc. very useful for loose items, hair scrunchies (or whatever those things are called), take your pick.
The gold standard to me was h2o products however.
