UA Announces Planned Denver - Panama City Service, Starting 3 December 2014
At 10 Denver will announce a new route that opens them up to "new markets"
Any thoughts on a UA route for this? Could EK be coming to play in the mile high city?

It's somewhere international and on United per this tweet from @DENAirport
In less than one hour, we will announce a new nonstop international flight -- Can you guess where @United will soon fly from Denver?

Per CBSDenver they're quoting the DEN Mayor's spokesman as saying
"It's a place far away that will open us up 'to major market.' Find out at 10a"
DEN - LHR already exists on BA so I would imagine that wouldn't qualify as "opening up to major markets" since they already are open to LHR via BA
HKG maybe? Can't see how in the world the financials of that one would work.
GIG ahead of the World Cup and Olympics? Nothing really makes sense from Denver. DEN - NRT only kind of makes sense because of the large Japanese population in Denver. Everywhere else makes more sense being routed via SFO (Asia), IAH (South America), IAD/EWR (Europe), and I doubt it's DEN - JNB.

My money is on 757 service to PTY. A bit conservative but it instantly gives DEN easy connectivity to every major SA market.
ZRH is also on DEN's 'wish list', but sort of redundant vis-a-vis FRA unless there is some hook I'm not aware of in the DEN-ZRH local market. Possibly MUC, although I doubt UA and the JV want to add two new west-of-the-Mississippi markets at such close proximity in time. LHR is also a contender but not as exciting as an all-new destination, given BA's existing service. With the 787, the time could be right, however.
