Arrivals facilities

An Arrivals facility is a retreat where United Global First and United BusinessFirst customers arriving by noon on a same-day ticket may freshen up with a shower. Guests can enjoy a breakfast and use complimentary Wi-Fi at some locations. Start your day refreshed at an Arrivals facility.

Before their departing international flight, United Global First and United BusinessFirst customers must ask a United representative at the airport to access the Arrivals facility. Access is subject to availability. Customers cannot bring guests into the Arrivals facilities.

Used shower room at CDG Sheraton on arrival, no worries aside from 20ish minute wait. Had 45 minutes to get in & out. Only complaint was microscopic towels.

Was the 45 minute time constraint due to your own schedule, or was this imposed by the CDG Sheraton?

Sheraton imposes it. Though as it was DH and me traveling together we got a total of 90 minutes.

Sheraton. Clock was running from when they handed me the room key. It was a conference room with a bathroom incl shower in the back. Strange, but served its purpose, and the conference table served as a nice luggage rack!

Hi Kirkwood - thanks for posting about your experience. Since I'll be flying into CDG next week would like to follow your lead. A few questions -
did you follow the apparent procedure of notifying someone (Gray Coat? GS Rep? Gate Agent?) at your departure?
What did you need to do upon arrival? Check in with the equivalent person at arriving CDG? Where were they located?
Did they give you a voucher or was your name just on a list at the hotel?

Thanks in advance for any details.

EDIT - apologies, just found the answer to my question upthread when you asked the same questions a few weeks ago and got a helpful response from Exbayern. Although if you want to provide any further details please feel free!

I did mention it to the ORD GFL staff, they printed out the directions for me--take CDGVAL to Terminal 2, follow signs to Sheraton, present BP at front desk, and they'll get you fixed up. Didn't hafta talk to anyone on arrival until at hotel. Piece of cake. ^

Has anyone used the arrivals facilities in AMS recently? How do they get you to the hotel(s) and what services do they provide?

(Whoops just noticed one of the locations is the Sheraton which is at the airport - I guess I was wondering about what happens if they get you the other one (Mercure) or if that even happens)

Just Sheraton, short walk, just go there.

Useful info, thanks - I'll be doing that in a couple of weeks.

The UA web page on this says some locations offer breakfast and wifi. Does the AMS Sheraton offer either, or is it just shower-and-change ?

So don't even bother trying to arrange at ORD? I'm arriving tomorrow morning.

My plan was to arrange in IAH today: got a few hours to kill so will see what they say (also arriving tomorrow morning).

Just used the Arrivals option in AMS.

Asked at the IAH UC about arranging it and was met w/ blank stares and finally someone said to check w/ the CS desk. Asked there, no on knew what to say, but at least one agent was proactive and called GS, who said just go to the lounge and present your BP.

Of course it's not a lounge in AMS, but either the Sheraton or the Mercure Hotel. I was connecting to CPH so I went to the Mercure, before going through passport control and security.

No problem using it, except that there was a 45 minute wait. Seems like they only clean the shower rooms every so often (as opposed to as soon as they're free), so it probably depends on when in the cycle you get there.

Asked at IAH E club. After thinking about it for a second, they knew what I meant: made a phone call, where I was told to just go to the Sheraton and show my boarding pass. Will let you know tomorrow how that goes!

An update: super easy. Sheraton is very easy to get to (can be found on the map at the airport after baggage claim, and there are signs from the airport train station). Just went up to check-in counter, asked to fill out a form (as if checking in for the hotel) and while we were doing so, they made a call as if to cross-reference names. Into the fairly nice gym facilities (which also had a steam room and sauna, but I didn't use them). Great way to start a day if you're here earlier than you can check in.

+1
They all knew exactly what I was talking about.

Good thing too b/c there was an obstruction on the train tracks between Schipol and Centrum so they were running buses instead. Total zoo. Took about 90 minutes total.
