2014 - Consolidated cancelled/delayed domestic flights

UA 200 HNL-IAH for tonight 05JAN canceled. Arrived on time this morning despite yesterday's "Customer Service Delay" (ended up was connecting folks from GUM, still funny)
On further review, UA201 IAH-HNL didn't go this morning either, wonder if the plane is stuck somewhere...

a date would help.

Information sources like flightaware or fligtstats or for a fee (KVS / ExpertFlyer) can provide some info.

Are you disputing WX/ATC vs airline caused issue?

Was GoJet the operator?

From ExpertFlyer for today
Comments:
3699/20JAN
F ORD/ETD 340P L01.10 MAINTENANCE
F STL/ETA 456P L01.10
D CRC//ORD POSSIBLE DELAYS DUE TO SNOW
N ORD2/LX WEATHER
F ORD/ETA 524P E00.10

SKED ORD ORIG 230P GTD B19 SHIP 1165
STL 346P 421P GTA A19 GTD A21 SHIP 1165
ORD 534P TERM GTA C4
appears some initial maintenance issue and then a WX cancellation.

Sorry, today.

I'm a little confused as to how every other flight is still able to fly if there's weather issues somewhere.

Does it say what (or where) the weather problem is?

That level of info is not available but where the aircraft or crew had been earlier and where they were going will factor in.

The real question is does it matter once it has been cancelled?

Yes, because a mechanical cancelation entitles me to something very different than a weather cancelation.

It seems weird to have a maintenance issue followed by a weather cancelation.

Thanks for all the information though.

They can't blame maintenance, but they can blame weather

(and hey, they're still beta-testing the pilot scheduling system, so who can say for sure these days)

Well I managed to talk the guy into giving us $14 in vouchers because sitting in a bar in STL requires money, but sitting in the ORD UC does not.

I find UA has been pretty goof handling IRROPS with me. I just wish they were more honest with reasons

Seems since you don't like the answer it is a lie??

But you are not alone in not likely the provided reason, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...ght-delay.html

Well I'm in STL, and the weather is fine. And I've been checking the weather/radar in ORD, and talking to people there, and it's fine.

And that thread just reinforces this

Given the well documented story of UA blaming at least some of the early Jan cancellations on weather (when in fact it was the latest craptastic systems deployment, for pilot schedule), IMO the OP is right to be skeptical when they see "mechanical" followed by "weather".
