I was on the same flight and also headed to SIN. The maintenance issue with the EWR HKG flight was a broken oven. According to one FA she said it must have been broken by the cleaning people. The equipment had been there at EWR all day as it arrived from BOM that morning. How is it possible that they would not have done a thorough check on all systems a few hours prior to boarding? As it was, it was discovered after the doors had closed. They brought the jetway back to the door, maintenance crew came on board and only after they exhausted efforts to fix it was it decided that we all had to deplane in order to switch equipment. For HKG to SIN we got reprotected on CX but it was a bit of a nuisance as no star lounges were open at HKG since CX departed at 150am. I had used a GPU on the UA flights from Y to C. Naturally, on CX I was put in Y. I was hoping for, at least, some type of beveridge service on that flight and I got it: it consisted of a fruit flavored sippy juice box. That's all they served. I really wanted just a shot of whiskey instead. But I arrived in SIN, four hours later than planned. All is well that ends well.

Wow, amazing that it's had issues 3x days in a row. I've never had an issue on that flight, though I have to say I only fly it a few times a year.

Returned to gate then canceled on 10/29, it also returned to the gate today (10/30), and now it's delayed over 4 hours for mechanical. Not looking good.

Well, UA 132 ended up canceled yesterday, as well. Three in a row?

Looks like the equipment is coming in from Newark today - seat map wide open Shows all the seats UA normally blocks off in advance of the flight!

Now the incoming flight from EWR is already delayed due to aircraft availability - Estimated Departure 1 Hour 30 Minutes Late. So I guess 132 is also going to be delayed, though it still shows on time.

So 132 delayed again tonight almost 3 hours due to mx. Same ship that caused the cancelation three days in a row and has been sitting at IAD since then. They didn't have time to fix it yet?

UA132 for 11/1 just departed a few moments ago, expected to arrive ~5 hours late

11/1 UA 116 SGNHKG cancelled due to aircraft maintenance.

Looks like N24736 has been grounded in HKG since 10/31.

When I had initially checked they were suppose to use the aircraft (N14235) from GUMHKG for UA 117 (11/1), but it looks like they needed that for UA 180 HKGGUM. I think they tried to get N24736 to go again on 11/1 but it eventually returned to gate and cancelled.

Looks like UA 117 HKGSGN has cancelled again for 11/2 as has UA 116 SGNHKG on 11/3.

How a flight can cancel 3 straight days and be FlyerFriendly is beyond me.

Let's see if UA 117 HKGSGN finally makes it on 11/3. Right now showing they will be using N13227, but that frame has a lot of work before it gets back to HKG. I guess time will tell.

While today's (11/2) UA 133 MUC-IAD is on time. UA 105 MUC-IAH is cancelled. It looks like the IAH-bound plane was used for IAD.

So, the inbound UA 132 plane vent mx.

No, that one, ship #3063 is in the air to EWR as UA 107. It's the inbound from EWR UA 106, #3060, that went MX that was supposed to fly 105 to IAH and is now canceled.

So now, as they don't have the plane for 104 to MUC in IAH (they usually turn 105), they are using #3065 doing 133 MUC to IAD, which will fly over to IAH, so now 104 is delayed.

This is a new one for me 11/2 UA139 DEN-NRT "Delayed due to a late inbound aircraft arrival". However the inbound flight landed 15 minutes early. Called G desk they claim it was due to a delay in customs in denver. Caused to miss last flight out of tokyo to hong kong and now overnighting in NRT.
