500 mile minimum on piedmont express?

If I book a flight through United's website that includes a 100 mile leg on a flight that says "Operated by US Airways Express-Piedmont airlines," will I still get my 500 mile elite minimum?

Also, if I book a US Air flight through United in B class with first class space available, would I get my instant upgrade?

1. No.

2. Not automatically - probably a better query in the US forum.

No to both questions. On the USAir flights you only receive actual BIS, no 500 mins. For B space to autoupgrade on an USAir flight you would have to be a USAir elite even if you book via United. I've been booked into B on the DCA - LGA shuttle and never once been given an upgrade (booked via the United website into USAir B)
