US has a better selection, they have Soup, olive bar, chips and salsa, and the cookies. Oh yeah, you can still buy a sandwich at most of them.

As of now I'd rank UA behind DL and US.

That would be interesting . . . and just like "Supersize Me", disgusting!

Unfortunately, probably only folks on FlyerTalk would actually care, and I know of NO one on FT who would be willing to be the guinea pig, and volunteer!

The dumplings are really good. It cracks me up though that its a craps shoot between that and hot dogs on any given day. At least the hot dogs at the air New Zealand lounge in Sydney are good...

if by food you mean crackers and carrots in the self service area then yes.
but the Walkers shortbread at the bar is pretty good, as I got addicted to it in Scotland

Food offerings in the UA Club Lounges?

I would also support selling food a la AA lounge. At the very least, they should let you bring food from outside, which is against the club rules and is very much enforced at some UA clubs.

There is a food court in the terminal which serves this purpose.

Breakfast: Bloody marys @SFO
Lunch: ditto

The UC in HKG is pretty good compared to anything you will see in the US. Self serve beer, wine and spirits. East meets west hot and cold buffet for both breakfast and lunch.
The UC in NRT is similar but much better quality.

Your UC membership with get you into domestic LH lounges, where they definitely have real food, particularly if you're *G and get routed to the Senator side of the lounge. (e.g., DTW, IAD)

NRT IFC and IAD IFC have better offerings than others although they pale in comparison with SQ and JAL

I would re-quote it as "serves a purpose" ... All I have to quote for food style options is ORD Terminal 2 Concourse F, where you might find peace and maybe a seat in the embedded aisle way .... or .... you can enjoy eating looking out at airplanes with a nice view ....

Good "joke of the day" that Jeff has real food in the UC. Starts my day off with a good laugh.
