In all seriousness, for international flights, do they really not keep an extra store of TP and tissues in a closet somewhere?

While I like the creativity of crew for coming up with an alternative, management ought to be ashamed this happened -- and was posted!

Too bad they didn't have any of the 'planes change, values don't' napkins to stock it with. I'd definitely wipe with one of those!

Ashamed? I bet they are proud.

They saved 0.032 in fuel costs by flying with 1 less unit of toilet paper. Those tissues were already there, hence, cheaper to use those than to fly around the world with 1 extra roll of toilet paper. It's a business, remember? Not an airline.

I still bring my own though, just in case I have to go. Not because I think they'll run out, but because once you've tried Cottonelle Aloe you just can't go back to any other kind.
I always keep a few Wet Ones in my bag for emergency refreshment (of the variety that's not for my hands). Fortunately it's been a few years since I've had to use one in the sky.

This reminds me of the thread about E145 wash basins being labeled as permanently inop. On my 757 last night the lav was "miscatered" with "rinse-free foaming hand cleanser" instead of soap. I shudder to think that this rinse-free stuff might have been intended for the RJ lavs, as I think it's an even less-sanitary solution than wet naps for hand cleansing.

That honestly makes this one of the greatest photos taken on a UA flight, ever.

Is there an Omni thread for "your best in-flight #2"?

That would rank right up there with this classic FT thread, now sadly locked:

It could've been worse. It could have been filled with corn cobs!

No TP on the A/C

I got an E-Cert a few months ago SAN-ORD when the ran out of TP. Good thing I did't have to go

Was going to say the same thing. It almost seems deliberate.

You guys are doing it wrong, I purchased a yearly TP subscription on united.com. I do not have this problem.
