I stand corrected then! I'll keep an eye out when planning my next route through IAD/EWR. Usually based in BWI, and I'm not sure I've seen E175s for UAx operating there.

Republic is in the process of swapping its EWR-based Q400s for E175s. There's 8 already based there, and more coming online in the next few months. For now, the CR7 rules at IAD.

FYI, I flew in a new E-175 from JAX to IAD, equipped with Wi-Fi and Private Screening. Movie selection was limited to just one: Skyfall.

Flying the E-175 LGA-ORD next week on a flight flagged as dinner. What can I expect?

I have to fly an E145 in a month and the flight is supposed to be two hours. The 1 by 2 seating seems good but E145's can get very cramped. I flew one of those before and they seem okay for flights under one hour but not on routes like MKE-EWR or MKE-IAH. An E175 would be good for both of those routes.
Also would United in the future also get some E190's/E195's?

Flew my first E175 yesterday - PHX-SFO. While leg room was ample, the seats felt like slimline versions of F...made me wish for the F seat in the E170 I flew from EWR-STL earlier this year.
Oscar has zero impact on the seats for the next few years I'm sure - it's a very expensive multi-year installation proposition - but aside from having that new leather furniture smell, that's pretty unacceptable as an F seat on an RJ. I hope that the new mainline F seats currently being added are comfortable, but it makes me worried.

ERJ-175s appearing at SNA
Just booked a flight for late January and was surprised to see 175's starting to replace the CR7s that are often seen out of SNA (usually to SFO). If this trend continues, it's finally something I'll like! Those CR7s are getting a little long in the tooth (and the lack of Wifi is annoying).
