Since DCA-BOS Shuttle is leaving star alliance, i guess i would wish for BWI-BOS.

In my humble opinion, both the airlines and their customers need their heads examined for preferring LHR - it would be great to have some more choice out of LGW!
I would be all for bringing back DEN - LHR.

(see a trend?) I know this is up to the government more than it is up to UA, but in particular I still miss the America West non-stop to LAS that was available up until the US merger. Maybe with AA/US having to sell DCA slots to get merger approval, UA can pick some up.
Let me make your day (or at least 25% of it): DCA-SFO nonstop on UA has existed since May 2012. See http://blog.sfgate.com/cmcginnis/201...-begin-in-may/ and http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL103

I've seen this flight sold as a roundtrip for sub-$280ai in recent weeks

To Australia not via LAX or SFO.. Does the 787 have enough range to do DEN-SYD?
What is the range to Auckland? ORD-AUK would be a great route

Bolding mine: DCA-LAS has existed on US since the America West merger, albeit down to one a day now. And will go away as a Star Alliance option with the US/AA merger.

As for me: I'll aim low - would love an IAD-OMA. I've been a patron of US's DCA-OMA, and love to retain the option after US becomes AA.

DEN-GSO and DEN-BDL
return of IAD-HPN and upgauging ORD-HPN to be all CR7 and E170
i would like to see some routes to Latin America out of either LAX or SFO (such as SFO-LIR and SFO-SJO)

and i cant believe i am going to say this, as much as i hate EWR, but SMF-EWR

IAH-GEO. It's a huge hassle to get to Guyana from SFO, and you can't do it on Star.

I vote for LAX-HKG. CX can do 4x daily flights and UA can't do one?

EWR-BOM is 7807 miles (6,784nm) and is a current route serviced by 777 equipment.

United could service BKK-SFO with one of its 777-200ER which have 7,725nm range
It would be so heavily weight restricted it couldn't possibly make money.

EWR-BOM is a polar route. SFO-BKK is not.

I haven't checked the numbers, but I believe the 787 could make it from the West Coast to BKK without severe weight restrictions. I don't expect we'll ever see it.

Many years ago UA tested the LAX --> HKG route but quickly discontinued it after only a few months. It might be time for UA to retest this market again. CX operates up to 3 nonstops a day for this route so you know the business is there.

+1 to IAD-SJC.

Also IAD-YVR non-stop, year round. I believe it is currently offered for a couple of summer months.
