737 hits fuel truck in BUF

http://www.weather.com/news/plane-hi...-wind-20130120

A United Airlines 737 got a rude awakening when strong winds turned the nose of the plane into a fuel truck on the tarmac of Buffalo Niagara International Airport Sunday morning.

Thankfully, no passengers or airline staff were on board when the plane hit the fuel truck, and no injuries were reported. More photos of the plane's unlikely accident, sent to The Weather Channel by a pilot who witnessed it, are shown below.

A better title: Empty 737 blown into a fuel truck.

A 737 hitting a fuel truck is more worthy of what we saw in Die Hard II.

Yes, if it was a sUA aircraft we could have seen a clown nose but not with the 737's.

It was a tulip fuel truck. I guess CO was serious about getting rid of all the tulips.

UA 6854 EWR-BUF used to replace accident aircraft. With 6 787's grounded the last thing UA needs is this, especially a 739. How long will the repair take and where will it be done.

That's the first thing I wondered about when I started reading this thread. Always enjoyed seeing that fuel truck with the nice United logo and tulip, regardless of whether or not United operates that truck (pretty sure they don't actually own/operate it.)

FYI, parking brake usually gets released once the aircraft wheels are chocked at the gate during the termination check.

They don't always stay on.

Its been pretty bloody windy up here the last couple days, looks like this was the 739 that flew in from ORD and was parked overnight in BUF.
