Business Class Blankets

My mother was on a UA flight in J a few weeks ago and came back raving about the blankets. Apparently they are very soft and extremely comfortable for lounging around. Does anyone know where UA buys them, what kind of fabric it is, or of something similar?

We must be on different flights because when I fly BF the blankets are... Usable, but definitely unworthy of raving.

Flying on a BF flight today, maybe something has changed?

Whats the protocol for choosing blankets in First?

Are GS first and do they get a second choice of color?

I also found the new blankets on the 787 (have not seen them anywhere else) absolutely tremendous and the best I've ever seen on UA.

We had a new style of blanket ORD-CDG a couple weeks ago and mrs_dergon commented that they were quite nice. Being my first flight in business on United (I was a CO guy before), I wasn't sure if "new" or just "better than CO's BF" .

TRUTH. The 787 blankets in J are superior to those on the 767-400 and 767-300ER, and they're good in their own right. I wouldn't mind a 787 blanket at my house!

Matthew, is the 787 blanket the PMUA Westin blanket, or is it something else? I personally always loved the white Westin blankets. I thought they were warm, and comfortable, and it was easy to see if they were clean or not.

PMUA White Westin blankets are gone. They've been swapped with huge navy blue ones, which aren't bad at all.

It was a white blanket with the new UA logo in the corner. It was fairly thin and had a microfiber feel to it.

Perhaps if enough people ask - United might sell the blanket at the United Shop. If that fails - I've found that this throw is as comfortable as anything I've ever had on a flight:

And note that it's on sale now . Robyn

It looks like Delta will be getting the Westin Heavenly Blanket that UA recycled.
