Accruing MP Miles on a TAM Codeshare in 2013
Greetings,
I need to attend a scientific conference in Belo Horizonte in May 2013. Presently I can save ~$270 dollars if I purchase a TAM codeshare operated by UA compared to purchasing the same itinerary bearing UA flight numbers.
Presently, the current wisdom is that in January 2013, TAM will leave the Star Alliance. Could anyone tell me if I would stand to lose out on mileage accrual in this scenario?
