Had a layover at IAH and was thisclose to taking a picture of a row of buggies lined up at Terminal B, all displaying the globe logo and Continental Airlines word mark.

I took a VDB yesterday, and the travel cert said "Continental Airlines" on it, and valid only on CO and COEX. I guess that makes it useless.

All that was printed by the computer, so you would think that's an easy fix. Other certs had UA on it, so maybe not all stations have the update.

And as long as that's the case people should get over pilots saying "operated by CO crew" or whatever they say that pisses off no one but a few FTers

When I tried to get a refund (denied, by the way), it came from a coair.com email address.

Isn't this a silly thread, though? Isn't the entire company now a "vestige" of CO?

In fact, I can't find UA at all in this new company.

When I had the FFP on my flight changed from Miles & More to Mileage Plus last week at the airport, my LH boarding pass said *GCO rather than *GUA.

Update from Captain "those other United painted planes you see leaving are actually "Continental" planes. They have a different computer system. "

Lost luggage check

When United lost my luggage and I had to buy some clothes, the check they sent me still said Continental. That was two months ago.

In the galley on 1636G HNL-LAX recently, "Continental" embossed in/on metal containers/doors. "United" on the stemware, but "Continental" on the ceramic tableware. Crew very pro-Co, and the (elsewhere in FT) much-reported occurrence of the term "Continental" every chance anyone on the PA could work it in. Four more years of this?

On UA15 EWR-HNL recently the pre-recorded message regarding stowing carry-on bags (played two or three times before departure) made reference to it being a Continental flight.

How much Continental signage, etc is still out there?

Just flew in from GIG-IAH today and I figured that FINALLY the GIG website would show flight 129 as United. I was wrong. It still shows continental. Additionally, there is still some continental signage at the check in desks. I thought all of this stuff was supposed to by 100% replaced with United by now. No? Just curious.

Hangars at EWR show Continental is BIG, and I mean BIG (as in the entire height of the hangar) letter.
