Milage Pluse Credit Card

Is it possible for a Canadian to sign up and avoid foreign transactions ect, like an American? Do not see anything listed on website that does not say you can not. But friend is not resident of USA though.

Thanks!

Does your Canadian friend have a US social security number? If not, then he (or she) would need apply a Canadian credit card (based on his/her credit history in Canada). Check out this thread for no foreign transaction cards in Canada:

Not sure if a US credit card holder can add an Canadian as an authorized user, you can certainly check with your CC company to inquire if that is feasible. If that is possible and you are willing to consider helping your friend in this way, do keep in mind that the primary account holder is responsible for all charges including those incurred by authorized user, so you'll need think this through and keep detailed records on the purchases made by each person.
