Should I book three one ways and then buy one ways one the return (probably not best value) or wait until I have more miles or do I use miles for one and wait hopefully for sale to buy other two? It is possible I will wind up with enough miles for another award but I don't know when that might be and then it becomes difficult to get the same flights.
International one-way tickets often cost as much as roundtrips.

Since you're not flexible about the dates, I would book the outbound legs as soon as you see availability. Having a stopover is less important than making your cruise.

So, book three one way awards on the inflexible outbound, then wait for the
more flexible return and book with future-earned miles or outright buy the returns (or some combination thereof)?

I realize there are a million ways to do this, and every has there preferences - I'm just looking for a few options to consider.

Thanks!
