Legal TATL Award Routes for Asia > US
Know you can do BKK > BOS or EWR via TATL
Anybody know if the following are legit going TATL (I'm guessing no).
NRT> East Coast (e.g. BOS)
BKK > SEA

Don't know if it's legit, but I think as long as it shows on the UA.com website, it should be. I have seen PHX-BKK offered via TATL. Suggest you search and set the number of flights to display at max, I think it's 50. We did a LAX-HKT earlier this year that went TATL connecting at LHR to TG.

Should be fine. I've had UA offer me both paid and award routings ex-BKK via FRA and LHR to the east coast.

I have done 3 TATL US-ASIA awards since 3/3. (one for me and 2 for family, all SEPERATE trips)
No problem doing NY-FRA-BKK. I even did NY-FRA-NRT-BKK (to use the LH380). All were legal award routings

This is great. Is there better award inventory (e.g. award tix in Y and J, upgrades) if one flies TATL versus conventional TPAC? For those that have flown both directions, what's the score for 2011 and 2012?

Completely depends. I've had decent success this year crossing both oceans, especially when partners come in to play.
