What is 2K Elite Status?

Saw it yesterday at a PMCO counter in BOS, the premier access lane "...United 1K and 2K..."
I asked a PMCO agent, she said, it's a secret level, more difficult than GS.
Anyone knows?

I believe it's a tier below the much more coveted 3K.

I heard about this. I also heard that it was an error when the sign was being made.

For 1K'ers who have already requalified and are considering jumping ship to AA, UA is now luring you back in with their equivalent of the SPG plat100!

While it can be earned from lots of time / money spent flying United Airlines,

It is also available to any person holds - or has ever held - a Credit Card issued in the US.

I think it is simply a reference to the fact that Y2K is now being blamed as the cause of all the integration problems when United moved to the SHARES system.

2K ELITE's are allowed to act as "Deacon's" on any flight that has Collection Baskets instead of Snack Basket's on flights of 1 1/2 hours or less! ALL offerings are sent to the "Little Stewardess's of The Poor" based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
