CPUs clearing BEFORE normal windows

This bug is apparently still in the system. I just got upgraded at T-95 (Plat window is 72 hrs) on a wide-open A-320 from SFO-SAN. G fare, and plenty of seats still available, so I'm inclined to believe the explanation given in the other thread linked previously in this thread: it's a time zone bug.
My flight departs at 10:30pm PST, which is the next day in Houston/Chicago -- and my CPU cleared in the midnight sweep.

timing management, Soviet style
in the old Soviet days, customer service hours aboard the entire railway were run based on Moscow time. This allowed for more convenient control by the central committee of the comrades at work in the field. If any question or problem arose on board the trains, the komissars in Moscow would be less likely to be disturbed when deciding what to do, or whom to liquidate.
This meant that the Trans-Siberian railway train served breakfast at 3 am, when running eastbound from Vladivostok.
Perhaps United's management is reverting to Soviet principles as they figure out how to run the world's largest airline?

"In New United Airlines... customer serves you!"
Note 1: should be said in heavy fake Russian accent.
Note 2: if you don't get it, don't worry. You could look it up ("Russian Reversal") but then it wouldn't be funny.
