New Website - How do you find real E+ ?

Now that every flight has a UA number, how do you tell which flights have real E+ seating, vs. just the first few rows on CO old configuration metal?

This makes a huge difference in selecting seats - specifically for seat width, as the old CO configuration have exit row seats with arm-rests that go up, but the E+ UA configurations have fixed arm rests and therefore very narrow exit row seats. As a 1K I'd pick an exit on CO metal, but regular E+ on UA.

How do we tell them apart?

Thx

Check the Fleet Config tracker thread to determine the PMCO E+ conversion schedule. As it stands I believe the 752 fleet is the only one that is complete, 738 is about half done, and I believe the 772, 764, and 753 should all be done by summer.

With that said until the conversion is complete there is no way to tell if you will have real E+. A 738 w/o E+ may be swapped for a 738 w/E+, a 753 w/o E+ may be swapped for a 752 w/E+ (domestic only), etc.

Generally, you'll have a reasonable idea of whether the bird was PMUA or PMCO (PMUA didn't operate any 753s at the merger, PMCO didn't operate any A320s, etc.). From there, if you must have E+, you can avoid PMCO planes that have not been retrofitted.

Day-of equipment swaps can throw a wrench into any plan, though.

if it's blue square, it's economy plus.
meaning in CO, one used to see the blue squares on bulkhead and exit rows. now if a flight has economy plus, the blue squares will be on rows that are not bulkhead or exit row.

Check a domestic itinerary past say mid June. All of the CO metal are showing blue squares up front.... I doubt they'll get the whole fleet converted by mid June.....

Not the whole fleet yet but the 738, 73G, 739, 753, 772 should all have E+ by July

Right now, the pmCO fleet still has no E+, except: all of the 752s and about 2/3rds of the 738s. So book carefully (where possible)!

A couple of 764s also have E+.

Look at the "Tab"... it shows First, E+, and E... dependent on the seat you select.

Does anyone know if exit row armrests will still be different (moveable) on the converted CO metal - meaning the new fleet will have a random mix?
