Morning flight DUB-EDI

Traveling with a group to Dublin and Edinburgh later this year and a few of the folks have booked themselves on a 0740 flight DUB-EDI. Just wondered how much time they should plan at DUB? Is this treated like a domestic flight, or will they have to do a passport check? Trying to figure out what time to advise them to leave for the airport from the middle of Dublin. Thanks.

What does the airline say about check in times? I'd go with that option.

Like all EI departures (except to the USA) you will go through security and then you will be required to show your passport and boarding pass at the gate. Nothing special. You will arrive as domestic in EDI. Follow EI's recommended times.

We had crazy wait times at @5am going DUB to Edinburgh (over 2 hours), but I really think it was more of a RyanAir issue rather than security. They were busy, but efficient. People just didn't have the proper bag weight for Ryanair so we had to wait a long time while they either transferred clothing around or paid the extra fee. We were also subjected to extra security that took awhile.
