Ooh, I'm quite liking the sound of this - fewer changes and prefer H&C... but how can I tell if it's the right time of day for the through trains? This will be around 13:30 tomorrow.

They do seem to be running through all day now, so you should be fine.

West Ham is a bit of an odd station, but there are lifts.

Every ten minutes.

(I assume there must be a few people out there who can give chapter and verse about the changing route patterns and timetables on the DLR over the years, but I'm not one of them!)

H&C go through to Barking all day however they are not super frequency so leave a little extra time. The AC on board may well make the wait worthwhile and you have an excellent chance of a seat.

for the help and suggestion of H&C to West Ham - indeed the ac was nice and it was an easy, albeit slower, ride.

Just for the point of clarity on this thread, Bakerloo line trains are now stopping at Paddington again.
