I flew through STN last week. The crowds were shocking, but I actually made it from the bus station outside the terminal to airside in just 10 minutes, despite the mass of once-a-year flyers at 5am. I was quite impressed. Every security scanner was open, there were herds of staff moving pax around....certainly better than fast track at LHR. Airside was a different matter....just awful. So busy, nowhere to sit. The lounge was a worthwhile investment, even if it lacks the views of the previous lounge (although has a much better location overall).
