US coming to T3, AC coming to T2 - where to meet each other?

Never been to LHR before. I'm arriving on USAirways from PHL presumably to T3, friend is coming on Air Canada to presumably T2.

If no checked luggage is involved, what's the best place to meet each other?

What if one of us does have checked luggage?

Thanks in advance!

How far apart are you going to arrive? You can walk between T2 and T3 so whoever arrives first might be able to get to the meet and greet area in the other terminal in time to meet the other. Also what are your onwards travel plans?

A further option if one of you does not have checked luggage is to travel on the bus before passport control to a different terminal, but I wouldn't bother. Just use the walkway.

We are due to arrive about 90 minutes apart. Pickup up rental car, no outbound flights.

Whoever is arriving first should simply clear immigration and customs and head over to the other's terminal and wait at arrivals. There are coffee shops available if bored/thirsty.

Yes that's by far the simplest solution - and probably the best. The only issue would be if the person who should be out first is very late so you a plan for that - maybe if it's after a certain time the meeting point moves to the other terminal.

The only other option is at the car rental place, which would mean that part of the wait time is eaten up by queuing.
