Hilton Park Lane
Apparently there is a security operation around the Hilton Park Lane during the Olympic period. Can I still meet up friends there?

Are your friends staying there? All of the Park Lane hotels are blocked for IOC, heads of state etc. You will not get into the building, possibly not even onto Park Lane itself, without being 'on the list'.

I did notice some temporary bollards, a huge fence and a couple of big tents rise in front of the Park Lane Hilton the other day. Quite unpleasant.

Thanks, but that wasn't my question. Raffles said "possibly not even onto Park Lane itself". I walk down Park Lane every day and want to know if it's going to be blocked - and it doesn't appear that it will.

Yeah I couldn't get a room at the IC either.
Sort of on topic, which would be a better neighborhood to be in during the games, the Indigo Paddington or the area around the Crowne Plaza St. James (Buckingham Gate)? I'm double booked and can't decide. Paddington would be more convenient for transport, but I'm not sure about what is happening in those neighborhoods.
