Santai - Welcome to the Board!
Here is the scoop (see more details at the AMR's web site - http://www.amrcorp.com/qanda/qa_aviatorsprogram.htm :
"Mileage.
Q: What would happen to Aviators members’ accumulated mileage?
Pending court and regulatory approvals, Aviators members would be notified before the program ends. However, when the Aviators program ends, Aviators members would receive a bonus mileage posting in their new or existing AAdvantage account equal to the unused ending mileage balance in their Aviators portfolio.
What do Aviators members have to do in order to protect the balance in their Aviators portfolio?
Aviators members do not have to do anything differently. Aviators members may save or redeem their miles with the confidence that when the Aviators program ends, a bonus mileage would be posted in their new or existing AAdvantage account, equal to the unused ending mileage balance in their Aviators portfolio.
Q: May Aviators members transfer mileage from Aviators to AAdvantage immediately?
No, at this time Aviators members may not transfer Aviators mileage to AAdvantage. However, pending court and regulatory approvals, Aviators members would receive a mileage bonus posting in their new or existing AAdvantage account equal to the unused ending mileage balance in their Aviators portfolio.
Q: Can an Aviators member earn Aviators miles on American Airlines flights?
No, however, Aviators members may open an AAdvantage account and begin earning AAdvantage miles on AA, TWA and TWE flights, TW Connection flights operated by American Eagle, as well as more than 90 airline, hotel, car rental and other travel-services participants worldwide."

Thanks Eugene, I'm trying to figure out how to get my Amex and Aviators miles into AA. I don't actually need them right away so this looks just fine.
