Master Turkish Airlines Partner Airline Mileage Accrual Thread

Turkish Airlines is a member of Star Alliance effective April 1, 2008.

As such, a central repository for all partner mileage accrual information seemed necessary. I have provided the basic information below. Please post updates as the other airlines change their award charts to include TY.

You don't need to log in to see partner flight earning table for crediting ANA Mileage Club.

Awards on TK are now showing in the ANA tool though only limited to IST. However, other destinations within Turkey are available - I had to call UA to get these.

Thanks!

Bit pi$$ed that Hajj flights don't count toward mileage accrual. Some scheduled IST-JED flights are utilized for Hajj operations too, with Haji's disembarking at the Hajj terminal and non-Haji's waiting while the plane is towed to the international terminal, so I wonder how they determine whether or not those flights accrue mileage?

Quote:
The following flights are not valid for Mileage Plus accrual: flights marketed by non-Star Alliance carriers and operated by Turkish Airlines, charter and Haj flights operated by Turkish Airlines, and flights operated by Anadolu Jet.

Wirelessly posted (probably driving while typing: BlackBerry8130/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Singapore updated their charts this morning. This leaves the Chinese, British, and South African carriers as the only ones who have yet to update.

Air China has listed TK as an FFP partner. I am not sure where you found this but Air New Zealand has not included TK yet.

This will be an interesting story.

Is it possible to set up an itinerary to get to the Haji locations, via the terminals or airports that allow mileage accrual, and then a short transit from that terminal to your next Hajj stop?

If you can book a flight that is not designated as a Hajj flight, which you can use for a Hajj trip, then I wonder if you can get your ticket notated to specify that it WILL accrue miles?

I updated Shanghai Airlines to include a link to their redemption partners in case Turkish shows up there first.

In the meanwhile, if you have elite status or other connections to Air China, bmi, Shanghai Airlines, or South African Airways, please ask them to update their websites.

Kayak not clued in yet

I'm frustrated that I'm trying to book a flight to ORD from Ist in June but Kayak keeps giving me the old TK-AA combinations. Since they don't have a partnership anymore, it's pretty useless. I expected to see TK-LH combinations by now. Does anyone know what site will offer a Star Alliance combo with as many TK segments as possible (only the TK legs give club miles which count towards elite status)

Thanks, pam

I found the page where Air China lists TY as a partner thanks to google and updated the original post. I also added an additional link describing the end of the AA relationship.

Unfortunately, I still can not locate links for FM or SA discussing TY. I posted threads in the Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs and Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs requesting help.
