I updated the BMI FT link to the most current thread with the earning rates for Diamond Club.

I also received a response to my query from SAA. It was not very insightful and did not address my desire to learn earning rates.

A chart?

Hi,

Maybe I'm missing something but am considering joining Turkish as my second program as I love the option to give Gold Status to my wife if I have their top level. What I need to know is how many miles do I for example get if I credit a European Lufthansa "W" fare to Turkish. Ditto for United and BMI.

And what fares earn less than 100% of miles?

Thanks,

EndlosLuft

How to qualify for Elite (*G)

Hi there,

I seek some clarity as regards the qualification process towards Elite level (*G). How many miles are required for first time qualification:

(a) 40,000 within the last 12 months (as stated for instance in the German version of their webpage); or
(b) 25,000 for Classic Plus (*S) plus 40,000 for Elite (*G) (as stated in parts of the English version)????

Can anybody clarify?

Thanks!

If you earn 40000 miles last 12 months you are elite level!

Let me try to give you an Example :
Lets say you are classic member at 01.07.2008 and you reach 25000 miles at 25.12.2008. You are Classic Plus Member. And you fly more and you earn 40000 miles at 20.06.2009. Now you are Elite member.

The point how many miles you earn last 12 months. It's not important if you are classic plus or classic member.

As I wrote in the german forum, I contacted them on Monday to ask for the CO milage credits on TK MS.
Until today I have no answer and the website still isn't updated. I guess they even have no idea what Continental could be....!

Update:
Right now they have published the CO earnings on THY.com:

http://www.thy.com/en-INT/miles_and_...ablosu_co.aspx

The good news: 100% on all Eco-Classes....

That's the first hurdle gone, now to the next...
However, it seems that they still need sometime to get their system to work with the CO OnePass records. I tried to call today to provide my aunt's CO number but I was informed that their system is under the process of upgrading to accept OnePass numbers. I hope that it will be soon.

Any other info will be welcomed.

From all my experience with TK I would say you should not expect that it will work in the near future. They needed 1 week to update their website and even never replied to my 2 mails concerning the CO milage credits on TK MS.

Like so many times before, I again have the feeling that TK has to go a long way until it really arrives in the *A.

So keep the boarding passes....!
