Jan 28, 2024Turkish Airlines introduces in its Miles & Miles programme a system of guaranteed award seats for extra miles. This applies as long as seats are for sale and is independent from the usual fixed amount of award seats per flight.
The usual (and lower) mileage amounts needed continue to be valid for award redemption with limited seat capacity. A member of the Miles & Miles programme will now be able to redeem the way he prefers. Either with the normal mileage amounts applied since October 2000 or the new mileage amounts, which enable to confirm award ticket reservations just like paid tickets as long as the scheduled Turkish Airlines flight is open for sales, even in high season.
The usual amounts for award flights without reservation guarantee do not differentiate in high season and low season and distinguish Domestic, Europe & North Africa, The Near East, The Middle East, North America Central Asia and Far East. Award tickets for Turkish Airlines can be combined with American Airlines or TAP Air Portugal.

Europe 1 comprises Chisinau, Pristina, Sarayevo, Sofia, Tirana, Skopje and Zagreb. Europe 2 comprises Athens, Baku, Budapest, Bucharest, Kiev, Nicosia, Odessa, Prag, Simperefol, Tibilisi and Warsaw. Europe 3 comprises Amsterdam, Barcelona, Basel, Berlin, Brussels, Geneva, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Hannover, Copenhagen, Cologne, London, Lyon, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Nice, Nuremberg, Paris, Rome, Stockholm, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Vienna and Zurich.
