Similarly to other airlines threads here on FT, let's see where TK we'll take us for Christmas and New Year.
I'm going to visit Georgia and Armenia over NYE.
TBS is the arrival/departure airport. Open jaw IST-TBS-EVN-IST would have been ideal, but since TK and Turkey have no relations with Armenia, it was out of question.
A nice land border crossing both directions is the way to go.

I am going to FCO from BOS. If I try to book the ticket now (even 2 months ahead) anywhere from North America to IST or beyond, even Y fares are approaching stratespheric J levels. It's always wise to book ASAP as soon as your schedules are confirmed.
Speaking of Armenia, I took the bus from Kars to Iğdır, I could practically see Armenia on the left side of the bus but couldn't cross it.

As always TK will be taking me to OSL shortly before Christmas,in order to stock up on my ribbe, lutefisk, julesild and akevitt, and the more Swedish juleskinke, its a 2 day trip, where this purpose is paramount to my Chrismas enjoyment,-jingerbels are coming to Turkey!!
Although,I have to admit that I have found it hard to get Turks to realy apreiciate the Nordic christmass breakfast tradition,I try,but for some reason Turks do not like drinking akevitt with their breakfast at 11 am,-its incomprehensible!!
I realy cannot tell you how much of an uphill strugle this is,but,-the imperative thing is,-NEVER GIVE UP !!
