However to my surpise I just had 15k of points expire...
Making a long story short I asked them to upgrad me or give me the elite plus status or I will start flying with elal or Cathay , I believe both of them will offer me gold status.
I don't honk it s a lot to ask based on my history...

i didn't get a reply yet but I wanted to ask you guys what you think , what would they respond based on your experience?
You were 15K short of making E+ but you want them to upgrade you anyways? I can't seem them doing that TBH, especially when they offer to buy 10K status miles. I can't think of any other airline that would either. If we were talking a couple of hounded miles then some airlines will but TK has gone for the option of allowing you to buy the miles, which in my opinion is a quite good and handy option to have.

Yes, no airline will grant you the next status with 15k miles short even if they just expired. Some do exceptions but it's usually when you are missing like less than 500 miles, not a whole 15 000.

Does TK J on the 777-300er SFO-IST have alcohol other than wine and champagne?

Specifically, beer and hard alcohol?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. They even offer an extensive alcohol selection in Y on any flight.

Do you guys think I'll be able to check-in my luggage through to HKT or will have to collect and check-in in SIN?

If that helps, I'm a TK *G. Not sure if it's of any relevance to be honest but I do hope I won't have to get out, collect luggages and check back in...

Thanks in advance!
If your rout issued in one ticket (as you said), it means your luggage can be tagged to your final destination , bacause TK has an agreement with JetStar group.

No.

The new 321s have armrest monitors (not seatback) in J.

You might also get a 321 without personal IFE.

I would be happy if they had IFE at all.
Are the headphones in J on the 777-300er any good?

Very good, there is even a thread about it here. Noise canceling headphones from Denon if I remember correctly.

I'm not sure wether to post this here or on the LH forums...

Looking to earn a quick additional 5000 miles on my miles and more account. The cheapest option seems to be flying LH in business class to IST.
I'd arrive at IST around 2AM, and fly out again around 7AM.

Is it possible to stay airside? Eventually use the TK lounge for a few hours before boarding my return flight?

Tk miles

I flew AMS-FRA-YYZ-VRA with air canada P booking class (discount business).
The first leg of the flight was operated by LH. For them the P booking class is one of the restrict. economy classes and normally TK is not going to award any miles nor smiles for it. As it says on TK website the miles are calculated by the flight operator rates, not by ticket seller's rates. A week has passed by for now and I can't see points for the first leg(I have from the rest of the flights) , so is it really so, that I'm going to get 0 miles, even though I flew in paid biz?

Im missing something like 2000 miles from *G and I have 6 LOT U flights coming up, which will award 250 each, so I would be a long way from *G. A lounge access and priority security would help me a lot.
So do I have to suck it up, or is there a chance that I'll still get these miles?
