US/Canadian-issued ABTC can only be used to access the APEC/Crew/Diplomat lane. It does not replace/waive any visa requirements. Chinese embassy webpages mentioning visa not being required is for ABTC with CHN endorsed on the back. No US/Canadian-issued ABTC will have that endorsement.
The button to renew your US/Canadian ABTC will appear in your profile 30 days before the card expiration date.

I don't have enough posts yet to edit the Wiki -- but if someone wants to regarding Long Beach:
"Long Beach, CA (downtown CBP Seaport offices, not LGB airport); posted as No Walk In, but may accommodate just the signature capture"
I actually did my signature capture in January in Long Beach at the Seaport Offices on Ocean Blvd (I originally did my Global Entry at LAX), via walk-in. They were really cool about it when I explained I had all my paperwork w/no appointment and just needed a signature capture. Took 5 minutes and I got the card a few days later in the mail.

Tried my apec card for first time today arriving in ua858 from San Fran. Had to walk all the way past everyone in immigration to the far side wall where APEC and diplomat line was.
No one but me in the line walked up he looked at card and passport including the blank back side and let me thorough with a stamp and no comment!
First time and it was a success at TPE

If entering USA/CAN and your ABTC is NOT issued by USA/CAN, use the crew/foreign diplomat line.
If entering USA and your ABTC is issued by USA/CAN, you should probably be using your passport at GLOBAL ENTRY. Does US CBP allow US citizens to use ABTC when they be definition should be eligible for GE?
If entering CAN and your ABTC is issued by USA/CAN, use the crew/foreign diplomat line unless you have NEXUS????

Did you get a look at the sign - did it say 'frequent visitor' along with APEC card, ie the same sign you see at immigration? The frequent visitor document is a much simpler, easier program for Taiwan entry than APEC if you don't need the express service at other countries.

Pretty much the same setup now in T2 - but for those who want fast entry to Taiwan, the frequent visitor permit is much easier and faster than the APEC card and will avoid the argument over endorsement.

Agree, I have the permit paper stored in my iPad, so as to show IO if there was a dispute over my APEC being blank back side. Being in a few occasions, Frequent Visitor counters closed, I was waved to use APEC counter as a result.

TPE T1
Was denied to use APEC lane and I asked officer to show official document why! After he showed me a paper I told him this is not an official government document. He let me in and speaks nothing.

Where was it? If it is in the title, I apologize. On mobile I cannot see it easily.
That was with TPE T1.

Entry Experience:
BKK Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Saturday 3 January 2015 approx. 11:40am.
Used my US Issued ABTC to go through Premium Lane, no wait, walked right up and had no problems getting through. I do have a non-Imm-B Visa so was stamped with 90 days. Don't know if they would have stamped 30 or 60 if I didn't have the visa.

Were you granted the normal 30-day visa free entry or the the longer 59-day APEC entry?

I used the ABTC card last week to enter and exit Thailand; stamped in my passport was a 30 day entry. The agent who actually had good english stated you can use ABTC card to enter the line but we will do non endorsed cards with 30 day entry if passport allows visa free.
