Day and night difference!
took me 7 months to get CA and then 5 months to get an interview appointment back in 2020
my wife applied 4 days ago, got CA in about 10 hours and we scheduled her Los Angeles appointment for next week; she will get her GE done in a week’s time!

Thank you for mentioning my app/website! I have made a few improvements after reading this thread. I appreciate you giving me such kind words :')
For anyone wondering, talking about the global entry checker Vercel app in the thread. Take a look if you haven't!

I applied in November 2021 and was conditionally approved in March 2022, finishing up my enrollment on arrival when I returned to the US later that month. When I applied for Global Entry, I had visited Canada, China, and the United Arab Emirates in the past five years.
I have a friend who applied two days ago (Saturday, July 22, 2023) and was conditionally approved the next day (Sunday, July 23, 2023). They naturalized less than a year ago and have not left the US in the past five years (except for a few brief visits to Canada). They have lived in two states but has a very simple job history.
It seems like travel history really does make a big difference. Not going anywhere (except Canada and Mexico) means automated approvals on the weekends is entirely possible. Perhaps recent naturalization is a plus, since USCIS would have had to do a background check when my friend immigrated to and naturalized in the US.

I wouldn't read too deeply into travel history because there have been too many counterpoints to draw any conclusions. There have been applicants who have lived together at the same address as a couple, visited the same destinations, and applied at the same time where one person gets approved quickly and the other takes months. There are other cases where someone who's visited 30 countries gets approved quickly whereas someone who's only been to Canada and a few Western European countries takes a long time.

This is me almost exactly, except that I applied in March and I do have a past conviction when I was 12.

applied 8/11/23, apparently received conditional 9/12/23 but didnt realize- no email. scheduled for following week but kept checking apts which opened up 8.17.23. All seemed to go ok and friendly. stated should get notice within 24 hrs and card within 2 weeks. Checked website and theres been no change as in it doesnt indicate a checkmark by the underwent interview and awwaing approval...is this normal? I would think it would show that I had interview...4 hours ago.

Family of 4 applied afternoon of Sep 3. Conditional approval email evening of Sep 4.
Speculating there are some automation in background searches and conditional approval unless red flag comes back.
