Well you may not have flown UA, but I have flown many many times on UA 4-5 hours NRT-HKG-NRT in C before it got cut, it did have the little details that CX have in F. I brought my own kind of Chinese tea bag, and FA more than willing to give me my own teapot to have my chinese tea. Short haul international flights does not really matter which carrier, it is long haul that have a huge difference.

I mean everyone can choose whatever they want, but I always try the regional or origin dish they have instead, in CX F you may get real shark fin soup or slow cooked abalone from Ah Yat's restaruant in Hong Kong.
While not a fan of sharks in the water, I would not encourage the making of shark fin soup for the manner in which the fin is harvested. How much longer will there be a shark population to provide fins if they are killed faster then they can reproduce?

This is off topic, but don't be fool whenever you saw shark fin soup they they are always real. Chinese businessman had figured a way to lower cost but still maintain the soup color and taste. Even if they really have shark fin, it is very little. You may go to china one day and see everywhere has shark fin soup selling really cheap, remember chinese is smart to make fake goods to sell as real, as the government is corrupt, no deparatment really going to check and follow up, they just want to make money.
