Apparently ZK-JNB is already in the desert in Arizona; JNC has been parked up at Auckland ever since June 9 operating very rarely as a spare. It's fate is the desert too I believe. As for Jetstar I will not fly on them. As I'm an NZ staffer's nominee and can get aboard for peanuts at the last minute I shall retract my frequent flying to NZ. I was on DJ last week and was disappointed to be honest...FA's are losing their touch there indeed. My flight to Wellington resembled a bad drag show

ZK-JNO was cut up by ANZES at CHC a few weeks ago, NZ brought it to use the body as a cabin mock up for BBJs.

Here is JNO http://www.flickr.com/photos/shanes-...ls/3579182869/

Note look at the foward cargo door?

Thumbs up Qantas Domestic AKL last day

While waiting for my 15 minute late JQ flight last night the QP attendant remembered that I was on the last AKL-WLG flight and told me to look out on youtube.com for a video Wayne, AKL QP seen in the video, told her about.
So here it is Qantas Domestic AKL last day

Great video to mark the end of an era.

Although, I have to say that the QFNZ 733 insides did need a bit of a touch up - the chipped walls, grubby fittings and odd floor coverings didn't exactly put QF in the greatest light. The video shows JTR operating the last flight, which is at least a bit 'fresher' than the 733s.

Ah well - NZ seemed to welcome me with open arms. Not bad aircraft, either. (I wonder what it will be like when their 733s are replaced...)

I the rumors i'm hearing from the inside is that NZ are going to purchase more a320s to replace the 733s.

I remember being on OJC in 2007 & it was very warned out inside.

The final flight was ZK-JNC.

JTR last NZ dom flight was QF2772 from ZQN to CHC, it actually landed on tome at 5:20pm.

JNC indeed operated QF2728 from WLG to AKL, arriving into AKL at 9:02pm, some 32 minutes late. Since then it been to MEL, and SYD but mainly operates the QF115/116/125/126 AKL/BNE routes.

From memory, only ZK-JNN seemed to be 'ageless' compared to the other QFNZ 733s; I remember stepping onto it and thinking "am I actually on a Jetconnect plane?" because it looked so good inside. Flew it on New Year's Eve 2008 - now that was an interesting flight - 100% loaded with people going to get tiddly in Wellington that night.

Right. SCs are unneeded (unless QFF decides to introduce lifetime platinum).

Nonetheless for other reasons I've had my first Jetstar flight in NZ (I've previously flown the 'star in Australia). Watch out for a cameo in my latest trip report.
