Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2004
In the epicenter of Champagne, the Monagne de Reims is the finest source of sparkling pinot noir, the core of La Grande Dame 2004 ushers in a breathtaking new age, disarmingly youthful, dramatically high-pitched and shimmering with dazzling acidity within a delicate shell.

White Wine

Tyrell's Wines Vat 47 Hunter Chardonnay 2009, Hunter Valley, New South Wales

The palate is straight shooting and youthful, showing fresh orange citrus flavours, crisp Hunter acidity and instant appeal. Wine Business Monthly

Delatite Riesling 2006, Upper Goulburn, Victoria
Delatite is a medium sized family run winery established in 1982 by Robert and Vivienne Ritchie. Specialising in cool climate aromatics it is sited on a picturesque rise with sweeping views across Mt Buller in North-East Victoria. The wine has strong floral and citrus aromas. The fullness and depth of these flavours are balanced with lively acidity and the wine develops complexity and richness with bottle age.

Champagnes & Wines

Champagne

2004 Dom Perignon
Named after Dom Pierre Perignon (1638-1715), the monk and winemaker at the Benedictine Abbey of Hautvilliers near Epernay, who is credited with having ïnvented" Champagne. Moet et Chandon's Cuvee Dom Perignon is the most iconic of all Champagnes. Always a vintage wine from 100% Grand Cru vineyards, pale gold in colour with aromas of fresh almonds and white summer fruits, both caressing and precise on the palate. It finishes with an expression of utmost elegance.

Krug Grande Cuvee
Founded in Reims in 1843, the House of Krug is now managed by the 5th and 6th generations of the Krug family. Rigorous selection and care go into every detail of the "multi-vintage" Grande Cuvee, which offers a magical combination of aromatic complexity, power and finesse with a long, lingering finish. Krug is the ultimate experience in Champagne.

White Wine

2013 Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
Dog Point achieved immediately cult status when first released in 2004. This was not surprising given the pedigree and experience of the founding partners. Viticulturist Ivan Sutherland and oenologist James Heally, both had held key roles at Cloudy Bay for over a decade before beginning their Dog Point collaboration. Dog Point is Estate grown and boasts some of the regions finest vineyard sites.

2008 Domaine William Fevre Montmains, Chablis Premier Cru, France
One of France's most famous wine regions, Chablis produces the most classic white Burgundies from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on a chalky soil that brings a floral raciness to the wine. The 98 hectare Premier Cru Montmains is well-situated on the left bank of the river Serein to produce wines with a distinctive elegance and length of flavour, particularly in an excellant vintage like 2008.

Red Wine

2004 Chateau Leoville-Poyferre Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, France
This splendid estate covering 80 hectares of vines in the best part of the Medoc, was named as a Second Growth in the famous classification of the best Bordeaux wines in 1855 and has retained this high status ever since. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are harvested at their peak of ripeness to make this classic "Bordeaux Blend". Deep carmine-ruby in colour, with fragrantly intense aromas of red and black berries, the rich concentration of fruit on the palate is balanced by an elegantly firm finish. It is eminently suited to white and red meats and of course perfect with cheese.

2012 Teusner Albert Shiraz, Barossa Valley, Australia
Teusner is an exciting partnership between winemaker Kym Teusner and Michael Page the cornerstone of which is their reverence for low yielding, old, dry grown Barossa vines. These old vines produce Shiraz of great flavour, intensity and softness. This is a contemporary style from the internationally acclaimed Barossa Valley.

2005 Louis Latour Chateau Corton Grancey Grand Cru
Louis Latour is the largest vineyard owner of this Grand Cru in the Cote de Beaune, posessing 16 of the 120 hectares of Corton. Chateau Corton-Grancey is their flagship wine. Youthful deep red in colour with beautifully expressed red berry fruits on the nose that show both freshness and depth, both rich and smooth on the palate, the firm vigour of Corton is matched by the class from a great year, with a long, lingering finish.

Sweet Wine

2009 Chateau Filhot Sauternes
With south-west facing vines surrounding one of the most impressive 18th century Bordeaux Chateaux, Filhot was classified a top Second Growth in 1855 and subsequent generations of the Comte de Vaucelles family have maintained the reputation. Bright yellow-gold with floral aromas that contain white summer fruits, honey and a touch of citrus, the rich sweetness on the palate is lifted by natural acidity to give beautiful length and balance.

Port

Taylor's Twenty-Year Old Tawny Port, Douro, Portugal
Matured in oak casks known as "pipes" for a minimum of 20 years, this is a blend of six grape varieties which are indigenous to the high, heat-baked vineyards of Portugal's Upper Douro Valley. Over time the colour turns from dense purple-red through carmine to orange-tawny, the fruit retaining its rich, raisiny concentration and refining into a nutty, spicy, honeyed finish, a taste to linger over. Taylor's was established in 1692 and remains the most famous name in Port.

White Wine

2013 Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Piesporter Goldtropfchen Riesling Spatlese, Mosel, Germany
The Goldtropfchen vineyard in the village of Piesport is one of the most perfect suntraps in all of Germany - and it needs to be because Piesport is in the Mosel Valley, where the Riesling grape only ripens when the vineyard is precisely angled to catch whatever sun there is. Goldtropfchen means "little golden drops" - and that's what you get from this south west-facing amphitheatre of vines, soaking up every last ray of summer sun. This beautiful wine isn't dry, but nor is it sweet, because a lovely lemony streak of acidity runs through its lush yet orchard-fresh compote of peach and apple and glistening Williams pear fruit.

2012 Kooyong Chardonnay, Mornington Peninsular, Australia
The cool maritime climate of the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne is particularly well suited to growing chardonnay of exceptional quality. Made by highly acclaimed winemaker Sandro Mosele, this wine successfully combines freshness with complexity and is a fine example of the new wave of Australian Chardonnay that is attracting so much international attention.

Red Wine

2007 Chateau Pichon-Longueville, Comtesse de Lalande, Pauillac, France
The larger of the two Pichon-Longueville estates, whose splendid 19th century chateaux face each other as one approaches the town of Pauillac, is known for the suppleness of its wines, due partly to the high proportion of very old Merlot vines. Part of the vineyard runs alongside that of First Growth Chateau Latour and a larger part border on the appellation Saint-Julien to the south, to provide the exceptional elegance in every vintage. The 2007 vintage already shows aromas of black summer fruits, natural rich flavours on the palate and a fine, dry finish.

2009 Louis Latour Chateau Corton Grancey Grand Cru, Cote de Beaune, France
2009 was an exceptional vintage in Burgundy with a warm and sunny growing season that resulted in ripe and rich grapes. This wine has a bouquet of red summer fruits with autumnal tones and a touch of black cherry spice, smooth, almost velvety texture on the palate, lovely length of fruit that is robust and elegant on the finish. This flagship wine of Louis Latour has great aging potential.
