Is Pittsburgh the most photogenic American city?

I've been coming to Pittsburgh regularly for 6 years now but last night was the first time I've taken the incline and seen the city from Mt. Washington. From the Sheraton at Station Square, it was a short 4 minute walk to the lower Monongahela Incline station, built in 1869.

Simply spectacular views of the city at twilight.

At the other end of Grandview is Monterey Bay Fish Grotto. Great seafood and amazing views.

And the obligatory foodie pic, my Chilean Sea Bass prepared Caribbean style. Delicious!

After dinner, a short Uber ride back to the Sheraton.

Where they let you know what team they support.

And a pretty nice view from my room.

I've been to Pittsburgh many times yet never had time to go around to see the city of 3 rivers (?).

Great shots.

I think for it's size Pittsburgh has the most stunning skyline there is of any city.

Did you have a chance to grab a sandwich at the original Primanti's?

Pittsburgh is a pretty worthwhile city to visit. Good mix of old and new, generally nice people, a growing brewery & food scene with high affordability.

It seems to have changed for the positive in the past 30 years.

I used to go there a lot in the early 1980s' and never liked it.

That reminds me of that old joke about the priest who went to the train station to buy a ticket and a well endowed woman behind the counter asked what he wanted and clearly flustered by whats in front of him stammered "Can I have two pickets to Tittsburg please"

PIT has definitely turned around! It's easily walkable and there's some great views from that Funiculare. The opera is also phenomenal. And if you have time for a day trip, Lautrec out in Laurel Highlands was well worth the trek IMO.

wish the same could be said for the Admirals Club there, lol!

Portland, OR, might be, though.

To be fair to Pittsburgh, they have cleaned it up considerably since the 1980s, and the new airport is a great improvement, if further out.

I'll have to make the trek to Benidorm, just for the skyline.

No, although as you know this time of year is nice. My corporate offices are there, and I literally can't stand it when meetings are called in say February. It's a dark, cold, dreary skyline. I prefer the lines of Seattle and SFO.

Looks like quite a picturesque city, SFO777. I watched a Russell Crowe movie on Netflix last night shot in Pittsburgh and recognised the city skyline from your photo's.
