Great report. Did you find the crowds in Oia overwhelming at times? We went in May this year, and every day several cruise ships would come in disgorging thousands of day trippers. Also the number of Chinese couples taking wedding photos with disregard for there they were standing (some stood on our roof), was annoying.
I do agree it is a stunning part of the world.

Woops! I forgot to finish off this TR.
Flew from ATH-MUC. Since I had a late night flight, I elected to stay overnight in a nap cab! Thanks for the tip, sleepinginairports.net!
The price was very reasonable, about 10 EUR/hour from 10pm-5am, and strategically located across from the WC. The room glows blue when unoccupied.
The napcab was surprisingly spacious, and the in-room touchscreen provided classical music options as well. The morning alarm was extremely effective.
After waking the next morning, I began the long trek to the LH F lounge in the new Terminal 2 Satellite building. Boy was it a long walk.
Unremarkable elevator/entrance
The T2S lounge has a similar layout to the LH F FCT @ FRA with similar furniture and color scheme, but differs with NO personal assistant service, NO chauffeur to connecting flight, NO Do&Co catering, but YES to views of the runway.
One of several trays of very fresh chocolates and muffins scattered around.
Germans and Americans alike were glued to the US Presidential Election news on TV.
Bathrooms (no tubs). And NO DUCKS.
Nap rooms (look a little more hotel-like than the ones in the FCT)
Lounging chairs overlooking the runway

I thought the food in the T2S lounge was quite disappointing, and nowhere up to the quality and abundance of the DO & CO catered food in the FCT.
Dining area
Bar
Cigar lounge
Dining area overlooking runway
Some meager buffet selections
Neat tea dispensing table
Breakfast menu. Maybe I missed something, but the menu selections seemed *very* limited.
Eggs Benedict
Stale Danish
Moldy blueberries
Neat breakfast smoothies

MUC-CLT
I had the good fortune of being the only F passenger on the flight!
I might be in the minority, but I actually preferred the A330 cabin to that of the 747-8. It felt less constricting.
I was hoping for a Rimowa amenity kit, but instead they had these.

Dinner on my outbound flight, ORD-FRA, was terrible! In stark contrast, the food on my MUC-CLT flight was excellent. Beautiful plating too. Must have been an issue ex-USA.
Lunch is served!
Table setting+Amuse
Amuse closeup
Bread
Caviar
Trio of Appetizers

Kalamansi sorbet, olive relish and blood orange
Fried sea bass on lentil vegetable ragout and bacon. The bacon was actually crispy, impressive on an airplane galley!
Roast goose, red cabbage, and potato dumplings with herb crumb butter
The chocolates, too, were better on this leg.
Hazelnut chocolate cake, mango and coconut tahiti vanilla ice cream
I regret I didn't leave enough stomach space to try all of the desserts. Excellent catering!
The crew was younger and very enthusiastic, which may have been the primary factor in making the flight as good as it was.
