Can somebody tell me if this is new aircraft going to Fiumicino Airport from Philadelphia? How does it compare to the 77W? thanks!

The 32B isn't capable of flying from the US to FCO. Perhaps you mean the A332, which has been flying the route for awhile. The seats are similar to the 77W seats.

By the way I've alerted the mods to move this to the AA forum.

As this is not a trip report I shall move it over to the AA forum.

Welcome to FlyerTalk.

The AA "32B" is merely an Airbus A321 with "Sharklets" wingtip devices, operated as two class domestic mid-haul or three class transcontinental flights. None are capable of nonstop transatlantic flights.

You are probably thinking of the Airbus A330s (currently both -200 and -300 models, though the latter will be retired) used on many legacy US Airways transatlantic flights. Neither are considered comparable with the 777-300ER / 77W. See

The LUS Airbus A330-200 / 332 [master thread]

and

The LUS Airbus A330-300 / 333 [master thread]

(We will probably merge this into http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...s-ife-etc.html. /Moderator)

DFW - CDG Equipment (777 - 772) to merge

I am booked next month (with my spouse and in-laws) on a DFW-CDG roundtrip on old 777-200. We are in first outbound and business return. Has anyone experienced "short notice" equipment change to the new version? Several years ago, we had a return flight LHR-DFW booked as old 777-200, but it ended up being the new version.

Yes. I and many others have experienced 777 - 772 equipment changes at last minute. (AA is coding "777" the three class 777-223ER aircraft with First, "772" the refurbished two class aircraft regardless of which seat is in it, Zodiac or B/E Aerospace.)

I like business seats on PHL-FCO a lot. They seem, to me, slightly roomier than several European carriers, but they are not new as stated above.

This is operated by the LUS A330 aircraft which has reverse herringbone seats in J, widely held to be the best type of J seat. A version of this seat is on AA's B77W aircraft, among others.

757 international Query

Okay done a search and a bit confused as to the thread to check on best seats.

Flying on 757 from AMS to PHL and vice-versa.

The plane has business, MCE(?) and economy

Well I assume it is MCE as I can't get the seats to show on expertflyer

So not really sure on the best seats for business (row 1-4) for the daytime and overnight flights as not really sure which plane it is!

Thanks

Try Seat Guru

There are 4 versions of this plane, this is almost certainly the 757 International.

https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Am...E_Intl_new.php

Another way to check is use seat guru (or other) and see which version has the same seat map shown on aa.com.

In this case, w/ C having 4 rows of seats, suggest the 2nd or 3rd row.

Happy travels!

Got confused as no rows 5 - 8 which is confusing.

First lesson - boats float, planes fly.

Question Seat advice for family of 4 - AA A330-200 and B777-200 Business

Hi,

we would appreciate any advice for four seats in the abovementioned business cabins. We are two adults and two 4 year old twins.

For the A330-200, would you recommend a complete row (ACFH) or rather an AC pair, or a CF pair? Can you walk through between seats CF?

For the B777-200 I have no idea about these rear facing seats I think I would like to avoid them, but maybe it would be nice if we would sit opposite each other so that we can face each other - is that possible? Would ADHL be a good choice or rather a DH pair, front and rear???

Any advice highly appreciated!

Andy
