You had good weather by the look of it.
Oh yes, I am not too concerned about the fares. On a spur of the moment I had withdrawn some additional cash when i passed an ATM that morning--- which was fortunate.

The weather was perfect, not too hot and not wet.

Thank you for reading. It is a nice little trip isn't it?

Maybe I'll visit it before the next cow do

Great report - glad you made the most of this as a "day trip" option from Buenos Aires. It remains one of my favourite places on the planet.

If you get the chance to return, a stay at the Sheraton is, IMHO, worth the price/points, just for getting that entire slice of paradise practically to yourself in the morning before the hordes of tourists arrive (or in the afternoons after most have left).

If you're a history buff, check out the movie "The Mission" (Robert De Niro, Jeremy Irons) if for nothing else, excellent footage of the falls.

Annoyingly imgur has broken all the images in this trip report. If anyone wants to read it in its original glory, reply or PM me and I will take the time to fix it. Until then, I'll leave it.

Did you get a Yellow Fever shot for Iguazu? They recommend it now.

Not when I went several years ago, and I spent three nights total in the parks.

Take good repellant and use it liberally of course.

I already had the vaccine for a different trip.

Actually the yellow fever vaccine is the only vaccine that's ever caused me any side effects. But a day in the bathroom is a small price to pay for life long immunity.

For a day trip in the winter, it's probably not necessary. I didn't bother with anti malarials either on that trip, even though it's just within the (low probability) malarial zone.

They say if one is over 60 the Yellow Fever shot is dangerous. Your side effects were not that bad. There is a Malaria pill that can cause hallucinations. One lady opened the door of a small plane in Madagascar and jumped out.
