Nice Trip Report. I'm seriously thinking about the Airport Hilton this time around. It'll be a shorter taxi ride to Howth than the Maldron.

Though my last time via DUB my taxi driver to Howth asked me if I was interested in doing the scenic route and I had a look at the Grand Hotel as we drove by Malahide that looked pretty nice.

The Hilton bookings were done back in August last year. I see my DUB Reservation Confirmations are annotated "SUMMERSALE ROOM ONLY", although we got a free drink and breakfast anyway [perhaps a HHons Gold benefit?] and the unexpected upgrade on the way home.
Thanks.

Good read - thanks.

Always surprises me that so few reports mention the fact that the 77W's all have wifi TATL which is another reasons I don't consider BA Club these days.

So, is this going to be an annual fixture?

Not impossible! We're considering OGG for Nov/Dec, although I would look for a more relaxing routing (DUB-LHR-LAX-OGG) - fewer TPs but I looks as though we won't be TP hungry in the next Membership Year. We already have a 1,000+ trip in MMB for July

You'll be in touching distance of a GUF2

Glad you had a good time and got back safely to release the poor cat. ^
I don't know if it's just me T8191 but I have to say this report just didn't have the same sparkle seen in all of your previous reports...more a going through the motions report? It lacked that personal touch which made your previous travels such a joy to read. There were no photos of you and the missus nor as many quips as usual. Then again, maybe it was aimed more at giving tips to the HNL TP run fraternity?

Anyway, I admire you and your wife's stamina....your itinerary read like a horror story to me. Far too many flights, layovers and early starts for my liking....the wife would murder me if I arranged a similar routing for a holiday.
As long as you both enjoyed it then that's all that matters. ^

Calchas ... no chance, and no need either.

HIDDY ... yes, I was still a bit tired, and the Muse certainly wasn't with me. Sorry about that But, yes, I guess this was [in my subconscious] intended to be more informative than narrative.

You need to take cabs and not those shuttles. Life is too short.

I don't like grits either and I'm a Yank!

Great report. Glad you enjoyed the trip across again. Have you booked your next trip yet......? This is becoming a bit of a habit for you!

Food on the LAX-LHR flight looks horrible - not a great advert for AA.

Liked your pics of HNL - made me want to book another trip there and visit Lulu's again!
